Rudy's Eye View

We spent a lazy Sunday after Halloween watching The Wizard of Oz and sitting on the couch under a blanket. After the movie ended, our doorbell rang - a rare occasion. Paul went to answer the door and Rudy followed. I stayed on the couch. I heard Paul talking to our neighbor and a minute later Rudy came back with my camera saying "I want to take a picture of you." I told him OK, he took the picture and then turned it around to show me the picture he took. (I had no idea he knew how to do that!) I asked him if that was the only picture he took and he said "I took a picture of the guy who rang the bell." So my curiosity was peaked and I had to look. This is what I saw:

Paul told me later that he was talking to Steve and all of a sudden heard a little whirring sound (the camera).

A Lovely Fall Day - Rudy's Point of View

So while Paul was climbing the ladder and fixing the shutter, Rudy asked for my camera to take a picture. I gave it to him and he wandered around our yard and our neighbor's yard for a while taking pictures. It was a great way to keep him busy and not trying to climb the ladder or help hold the ladder.

His view of me and Paul.

One of our Halloween decorations.

Looking through one of the Halloween decorations (very artistic).

Rudy's moto

A branch

The roofing sign on the yard next door.

Sitting on the curb, either purposely taking pictures of his feet or playing with the buttons and just having pictures come out.

Another very artistic shot of his foot in the street.

Imagination

It's amazing what a toddler comes up with. Yesterday morning Rudy decided to sit in his toy box. He was very pleased with himself. He also waited while I took the picture and even said "cheese". Which leads to the next set of pictures.....

Last night Rudy was taking pictures of his own. He started out using Poppy's guitar tuner, which I took away, but then discovered the monitor worked just as well. He would hold it up to his eye and say "cheese, Lou" or whatever he was taking a picture of. Rudy was crouching down to take the pictures and pressing the button to turn the monitor on and off as he said "cheese". The monitor even followed us upstairs for bath time where he said "cheese, trash" and "cheese, bubbles".
