Halloween

These pictures are slightly out of order, but here is our Halloween fun.

Rudy was Harry Potter. He looks so cute in glasses! Here he was a little wary of our neighbor's house. As much as he wanted all scary things and loves to talk about scary things, he was a little apprehensive.

We stopped by Grandmom's house, and she gave him a Harry Potter lego book. We practically had to drag him away from the book to do more trick or treating!

Another view at the neighbor's house. He made me go first and touch everything so nothing would jump out (nothing did - they were all just motionless decorations).

On Friday there was a Halloween parade at Rudy's school. His class was first and went by so fast, I didn't get many pictures, but this was such a great picture I didn't mind.

Grandpa had dinner with us before trick or treating (and then escaped far from any trick or treating).

Two Halloween jokes Rudy made up related to his costume:
For Halloween, I am going to be doing a lot of spelling. Get it? SPELL-ing!
then immediately after, while Paul and I were cracking up, he said, I may be the boy who lived, but that's the joke that died.

Magic and Muggles

This summer Rudy has been introduced to Harry Potter via his summer program. He saw a few of the movies at camp, so we decided it was time to start reading some of the books to him, since we are fans of book first then movie!

After reading the first book, and watching the movie, Rudy frequently pretends to be Professor Quirrell. If you aren't familiar with the book, Professor Quirrell wears a turban.

In his muggle life ( non-magical), Rudy has been taking swim lessons all summer. Here he attempts a dive (pretty much he puts his hands over his head and then jumps!).

Exiting the water after a great dive attempt.

Attempt number two almost looks like he is frozen as he dives forward.
