As long as we have lived in our house, the shed has been the bane of our existence. It was old, the wood was rotting, and it was inhabited by cave dwellers - large crickets with big bodies and huge legs. In the summer, it gets so bad that I won't go in the shed at all. After several summers of complaining about it, we finally decided ti was time to do something. We checked out sheds at a local hardware store and found that for a few hundred dollars, we could get a shed that was slightly bigger than the one we had. So we bit the bullet and bought one (and then had to also pay for it to be delivered).
In anticipation of the new shed being delivered on Friday, we started the day cleaning out the old shed...
Rudy was not happy to be on his own all day, but when we found some old leashes in the shed, he found a good use for them - by attaching them to various items around the yard.

We briefly toyed with the idea of putting the new shed someplace else and using the cement block for a grilling/seating area, but quickly came to our senses and realied this was the best place for the shed.
In the afternoon, the new shed was delivered - in a box to be put together. So phase 2 of shed replacement began.
By the end of Friday, we had 3 walls plus some more up.
Saturday morning Rudy had tee-ball and then we continued to build. We had realized that we didn't have a good plan for disposing of the old shed, so we looked up companies that could haul it away, and ended up making an appointment with one company to come out Saturday afternoon to take it away. It made the whole venture more expensive, but was worth it to have all that junk gone (plus a few other things we had them take!).
