Rudy's Birthday Part 2

Today we spent the day celebrating Rudy's birthday by taking him and a friend to The Fun-Plex in Mount Laurel. It's an inside arcade and amusement center.

They had a lot of fun in the Foam Frenzy, where they apparently had foam battles with each other and other people.

Rudy went on several rides.

They did the bumper cars several times. The first time together because there weren't enough cars. Subsequent times they went separately (including several times when they were the only two).

They also played arcade games and redeemed their tickets for prizes.

Then we went to SmashBurger for dinner. These two are crazy together.

Thanksgiving and Rudy's 10th Birthday

Rudy incognito and ready for Thanksgiving dinner.

His cookie cake.

Opening presents from Grandmom and Grandpa.

Birthday morning. Reading his card.

Opening his present.

"Why did you get me xbox games?"

"I'm so confused."

"Wait. Did you get me an xbox?!?!"

Yep. This is how he spent the rest of the day.

For his birthday dinner we went to the local hibachi place. Bill, Renee, and Paige joined us for dinner along with Grandpa.

Silly cousins.

Photo bomb by me. :)

Bill learned how hard it is to get a good picture of Rudy. Take 1.

Take 2.

Take 3.

Take 4. That's the best you're gonna get.

Paige (with Rudy trying to photo bomb in the back).

A good picture with Paul and Grandpa.

And then it just gets worse.

Happy Birthday song at the restaurant.

The birthday hat.

Dad's Birthday

Saturday was Dad's birthday (we won't mention how old but I think Paige guessed 7 and Rudy guessed 29), so we took him out to dinner.  Paige and Bill joined us as a surprise.

Grandpa and 2/5 of his grandchildren.

Rudy brought the Lego ship that he had just created earlier in the day. On the way to dinner we reminded him that Paige might want to play with it, and it was ok if he didn't want to share it, but maybe he should be prepared to let her play with one of the figures. He said there was no way he was going to let her use his droid, but she could play with the other guy.
Then, after dinner, Rudy walked over to where Paige was, then casually pulled a chair from another table over so he could sit next to her, and proceeded to show her his ship, droid and guys, and let her play with whatever she wanted. She kept asking, "Can I play with it?" even as she had it in front of her. I have to say, after these last two get-togethers, I think Paige might have her cousin wrapped around her finger.

After dinner we went back to Dad's house to show him how to work with his ipod. Rudy got a hold of the camera and snapped some pictures.

"Here, Mommy, let me take a picture of us."

Take 2- still needs some work.
