Our Day in Pictures (and a Few Words)

This morning we went to our monthly road cleanup. Rudy wasn't available so this skeleton joined us. He picked up exactly three pieces of trash and said he was done. Instead he explored the woods. The good part - he was happy. The bad part - 4 ticks found after we left. Fortunately they were all really big, if you live anywhere that Lyme Disease is a problem, you know it's the little tiny ticks you have to worry about!

Then we built another project. That made two in a row that were flower/ plant related. So we bought some flowers the other day, then Rudy painted his planters and we set these up on the front step.

We met a friend and her daughter at a local playground. Even though she was 4 years older than Rudy, they played for more than an hour and a half. Then we ran a few errands, and stopped for some ice cream.

All in all a good day!

Halloween (Take 2)

Our skeleton going trick or treating. He was so excited to go! Some kids started early in our neighborhood and it drove Rudy crazy that they were out and he wasn't yet.

We tried to stay by the curb and let him go up to the houses by himself, but he wasn't going for it most of the time.

I tried to take a picture that would show off the glow bracelets and necklace that he was wearing but I couldn't get a picture where you could see him AND the glowing lights.

My mother-in-law's neighbor always has elaborate decorations that Rudy loves. This year he also had a bubble machine blowing dry ice bubbles- very coo!

Rudy had a great time collecting all his candy and is always willing when we get home to share his collection with us, even going so far as to give us what he knows are our favorite candy. He can be such a sweet boy!
