Rudy and I were in North jersey today visiting with some friends of mine. We were pretty close to Field Station Dinosaur in Secaucus, so when we were finished with my friends, we headed over there. Field Station is a park of animatronic dinosaurs. They are (mostly) real size. There were also shows to see and things to participate in. When we arrived, Rudy was given a passport and told he had to complete 6 activities and get stamps from them and he would get something when he left (it ended up being a sticker in the passport book, but he was ok with that).
The entry.
(I'm not even going to try to name all the dinos because I know I will get some of them wrong. As we walked along, Rudy of course was able to name almost all of them!)
A T-rex behind us.
Argentinosaurus- possibly the tallest dinosaur
A baby dinosaur
Here comes the t-rex!
Rudy volunteered- to put his head in the t-rex's mouth.
(here the performer is whispering to him to make sure he understands it is just a puppet and it won't really hurt- haha)
After his feat (see video below) he then was able to touch it.
On a dig
Using LaQ blocks to build a dinosaur
The raptors (he was disappointed because they were smaller than they should have been).
