The Reader

The other morning I came into the back room to find Rudy sitting and reading. This is a book of Far Side cartoons. He was concentrating very hard.



Then when he realized I was trying to take a picture, he turned his head.

Then finally he agreed and looked at the camera.

Books

As evidenced in previous posts, Rudy likes books. These pictures are from last week. Rudy was just sitting on the floor in our entry way reading before we went out.

We ran a few errands and were heading to the library. The whole time we were out he asked about when we were going to get books. When we came home, he took of his coat and resumed his previous position with his new books. Of course he got a train book and a car book!

El Caballo

One of the first animals Rudy identified and talked about was caballo (horse). For his birthday Grandmom got him a caballo to ride on (not a real one, thank goodness).

He would talk to it.

And read books to it.

Rudy would even have the caballo give him besos if he hurt himself, but he would not ride on it. Well, he finally started riding it the other day. So here you go, Grandmom, it only took a month and a half but he will finally ride the caballo.

Books

Rudy loves books. He has for a while. When he first came home, he liked looking at animals books. Now he has moved on to books with cars, trains, or trucks in them. He also will now let us actually read the book - instead of just pointing out the pictures of quickly turning the pages. Rudy also enjoys reading his books to others.....

However, they are not always as interested in the book as he is!
