Besos

Rudy loves to give besos - kisses- to his toys, his pets, even to statues of animals at the library. But ask Rudy to give a person a beso- and you get his cheek. No matter how many times we try, as soon as we ask him for a kiss he turns his cheek as in "you may kiss my cheek". Here he is hugging and kissing his gato.

Edited: I thought I had more pictures of him kissing his animals but I can't find them. Probably I tried to take pictures of that but the moments passed before my camera shutter clicked. So here's just one.

El Caballo

One of the first animals Rudy identified and talked about was caballo (horse). For his birthday Grandmom got him a caballo to ride on (not a real one, thank goodness).

He would talk to it.

And read books to it.

Rudy would even have the caballo give him besos if he hurt himself, but he would not ride on it. Well, he finally started riding it the other day. So here you go, Grandmom, it only took a month and a half but he will finally ride the caballo.

Adios

Getting out of the house lately has been tough. Rudy loves to say "adios" when we're leaving - usually to his toys. yesterday as we left it was "adios snowman", "adios bus". He then proceeded to walk over to his bus and give it un beso. What a kid!
