FFF- Eyes
This picture has always made me think "What you talkin' 'bout, Willis?" I wonder what was going through his head in this picture - Who are these crazy people who keep coming to visit me? Why do they speak a strange language? Why are they asking me to kick a ball around? Any number of things that he now would easily say to us. And yes, I think we still do get this look every once in a while.

Please Touch Museum
We met our friends Vincie and Andy and their boys here on Saturday. It has all different play areas like water play, all kinds of transportation, a grocery store, a restaurant, a doctor's office, and a fairy tale area. The boys had a great time and we were amazed at the place. It's another place we got a season pass to so we will be going back many times in the next year!

FFF- Cold
I am going to try to post ONE favorite foto this year. It is going to be hard but I am going to try.
This week's theme is cold. This is from one of the first snows we had last year after Rudy came home (in fact by this time last year we had had several storms). He looks a little cold in the picture but he never complained or wanted to go in.

Random Pictures
It has been a crazy week and I have been bad about blogging so I found a few pictures to write about and post.
The other morning I was trying to get Rudy dressed for school and he was as uncooperative as ever. He was standing next to Lou, with his arm around him and telling me why he couldn't finishing getting dressed "I take a picture with Lou". I said "Oh you and Lou are taking a picture now?" and his response was "No get your camera and take a picture of me and Lou." So I did. It actually turned out really cute once Lou cooperated for it.

Last weekend we did a little shopping, which included getting new winter hats for Rudy and Paul (I'll have to get pictures of Paul's hat to post). Rudy wore his hat out of the store, and then for another hour or so at home. Here he is sitting on our bed, with Mario, looking at the old calendars I had taken off the wall. When i decided to take the picture he was looking at a Guatadopt calendar, which is entirely pictures of children adopted from Guatemala and I thought it would be a great picture to take. But he had of course moved on once I got the camera.

Animal Adventures
On New Year's Day, we decided to take advantage of one of our Christmas gifts - a pass to a local aquarium. Chris and Patti received the same gift so they met us and Dad there.
The hippos were the biggest hit of the day. They were very active- one just kept swimming in circles and the other stayed in the corner of the tank right against the glass.

The 3 monkeys.

Max and Rudy in front of the jaw of a megaladon. The whole time we were going to the aquarium and walking through it Rudy kept asking about the sharks. That was all he cared about. When we finally got to the sharks he was completely unimpressed and just asked to see other 'aminals'.

The last time we all went to the aquarium was about 2 1/2 years ago. Here's a picture of Max then and Rudy now in the same pose.

New Year's Eve
Hard to believe but this year, we had a bigger New Year's Eve party at our house than we have ever had. There were fights, requests for more drinks after the first one had been downed in record time, screaming and even some crying. Juice boxes were the drink of choice although we did also offer beer and wine. Of the 15 people that were at our party tonight, 6 were under the age of 9. We went really low key and invited a few friends with kids over to just hang out until whenever the kids couldn't handle it anymore. At the last minute, we found out some other friends were in town, so they stopped by too. I wish I had taken some pictures but the kids all enjoyed playing with the train table and the adults enjoyed talking around the train table.
The last guests left after 10pm, Rudy was put in bed, but of course didn't fall asleep until around 11pm and then Paul and I were left to ring in the new year.
10 years ago tonight Paul and I first 'hung out' together. Of course, we were at work, with probably 10 other people around, and by 10:30 had all gone our separate ways. I can't even remember what else I did that New Year's Eve. And little did I know that 10 years later Paul and I would be married with a son. I wonder what will happen over the next 10 years.
